Travel medicine / vaccination (including yellow fever)

Germans undertake more than 75 million journeys per year (facts and figures about the German tourism market in 2010, Deutscher ReiseVerband, DRV). However, health problems can still occur when travelling abroad, no matter whether for business or leisure.

Depending on the type of travel or destination, these issues can range from harmless but common travel diarrhoea to severe infectious disease. Consulting a professional travel medicine specialist before embarking on a journey can help you avoid illness to the furthest extent possible.

At our practice, you will receive all the necessary information concerning travel and tropical medicine to protect your health. We will also tell you about the vaccination regulations and recommendations for the countries you plan to visit. We can then provide the necessary vaccinations, as well. If you are interested in a travel medicine consultation, we ask that you make an appointment and indicate your travel date and destination. Please be sure to bring your vaccination record card to the consultation.

If you are travelling outside of Germany, private health insurance companies may not cover the costs of travel medicine consultations or vaccinations. Therefore, we ask for your understanding if you are required to bear the costs incurred yourself.

We offer you the full diagnostic and therapeutic spectrum of internal medicine and cardiology.
